La Leche League Meeting today
Ever wonder what goes on at La Leche League Meetings? It’s common for moms to ask me if they can come without their little ones or if they are “only” pregnant. I mean what DO you do at a breastfeeding support meeting?
La Leche League is a mother to mother support group. We share information, support, and real life stories about how we navigate the breastfeeding relationship. Each month has a different topic and today we will be talking about the advantages of breastfeeding. We share information and ideas on how to stream line some of the work associated with caring for your little one. La Leche League advocates doing what works for your family. That looks different from one family to the next. There is no one right way, no La Leche League way of doing things. At meetings and as the La Leche League leader here on Nantucket I remind moms to take what works for you and your family and leave the rest.
Meetings are always free and open to expectant and nursing moms and their babies. We meet 9am in the Community School located at 56 Center St. I hope you will join us.
