Newborn Care Class
When you’re pregnant it is common to think about the birth. We research, plan, practice, and prepare. But what about what comes next? You know, the part where you are a parent and responsible for caring for, feeding, bathing, and soothing this little love 24/7? Interested in gathering a little information and some tips on how to make this transition a little bit easier? Then I have a FREE class just for you.
With the generous support of the Nantucket Community School I will be offering a FREE newborn care class Tuesday Jan. 27 and Tuesday Feb. 3 from 6:30-8:30pm. This class will cover breastfeeding in depth including what to expect in the first few days and weeks of your nursing relationship, how to know your baby has a correct latch, how to know your baby is getting enough to eat, newborn hunger cues, overcoming common difficulties, and how and when to introduce a bottle. The second night focuses on soothing your little one, nighttime parenting, safe sleep, when to call the doctor, and realistic expectations for your postpartum care and healing.
This class is free but registration is required.
Please call Pauline to register at 508-228-7285 ex 1166.
